This page explains how to request that your preventians account and the data associated with it are deleted. preventians is developed and operated by preventians, and these steps apply to accounts created in the preventians mobile app.
1. Delete from within the app
The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the app:
- Open the preventians app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- Choose either Delete immediately (your account and data are wiped right away) or Schedule in 30 days (your data is preserved for 30 days, and you can cancel any time in that window by signing in).
- Confirm when prompted.
2. Request deletion by email
If you can no longer sign in to the app, email care@swasthura.in from the email address linked to your account, with the subject line “Delete my account”. We verify ownership of the account and complete the deletion within 30 days of a verified request, and confirm by email once it is done.
3. What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove your personal and health data, including:
- Your profile, login and onboarding answers
- Health details you entered (weight, height, medical history, dietary preferences)
- Your AI plans, meal logs, water, steps, sleep and other tracking data
- Any wearable / Google Health Connect data synced into the app
- Meal photos you uploaded
- Your SIA chat history, dietitian chat history and community posts
- Your device push-notification tokens
This deletion is irreversible — once complete, we cannot restore your account or its data.
4. What we keep, and for how long
A small amount of data may be retained after deletion only where the law requires it or to protect against fraud:
- Payment and invoice records — where you made a purchase, transaction and tax records are retained in de-identified form for the period required under applicable Indian financial and tax law (up to 8 years), after which they are deleted.
- Scheduled deletions — if you choose the 30-day option, your data remains recoverable for those 30 days and is then permanently erased.
Card and UPI details are never stored by preventians — payments are handled by our payment processor, Razorpay. We never sell your data or use identifiable health data for advertising.
5. Delete specific data without closing your account
You don’t have to delete your whole account to remove data. Within the preventians app you can, at any time:
- Disconnect a wearable (Profile → Connect health data) — this stops syncing and removes the steps, sleep, heart rate and weight data synced from Google Health Connect.
- Delete individual community posts (Profile → My posts) — removes that post and its images.
- Export your data first (Profile → Export my data) if you want a copy before removing anything.
To have a specific category of data erased (for example your meal logs, chat history, or health details) while keeping your account open, email care@swasthura.in from your account email with the subject “Delete specific data” and tell us what to remove. We action verified requests within 30 days.
